I would highly recommend DJ Goyo! I had him DJ my wedding last night and he was very attentive to my wants and needs. I'm a pretty laid back person, and I was definitely a laid back bride. Because of this, I only had an outline of what I wanted and only a few song requests. DJ Goyo filled in the rest with great music and he kept the evening moving along smoothly. I'm grateful to him for getting the party started and keeping it going. The fact that he spins vinyl is also the coolest! If you're looking for a great DJ, DJ Goyo is your man!

Greg DJ'd my wedding down in San Diego. It worked out well considering he had to lug his equipment from the Bay Area all the way down there. He did a great job of setting up the venue, and solved a facility issue we had with the space at the last minute. He took charge and made sure my wife was nice and calm by fixing a potentially big problem with his creativity.

We reviewed the list of music we wanted him to play at his studio, and he did a great job of sticking to it, and adding his own flavor which is what we wanted him to do. He MC'd our day for us in a relaxed, flexible, and well-prepared manner.

We basically just showed up to our day, the music was spot on, he did a great job of MC'ing with zero cheese factor.

I highly recommend him. I will use him again hands down.

DJ Goyo DJ'd my wife's birthday party and really got the dance floor moving. His encyclopedic knowledge of music from all over the world gives him the ability to feel into the crowd and give them exactly what they want. He is fun, friendly, and efficient: he brings the speakers, the tables, the turntables, and he plays real vinyl! He swept in and out and left me free to enjoy the party.

It's easy to tell he can be the life of the party, and he certainly brought our party to life.

This review is long overdue. We got married in September 2011 and being a guy I thought finding an awesome DJ would be the least of our worries, but it wasn't. We met with quite a few lame DJs that had a "wedding mix" that was "guaranteed" to keep the party going.

Since our first meeting with Goyo we felt at ease. He spun some vinyl for us at his studio. He has an extensive selection, picking up stuff from his travels as well as locally. He also listened to what we were interested in.

On the big day he showed up on time, set up without a hitch, and even brought an assistant to help handle the records. He was a great MC, talking just enough, and kept the party going all night long. 4 months later everyone still says it was the most fun wedding they attended in 2011 and DJ Goyo made it happen.

If you're looking for an an awesome DJ at a reasonable rate, you can't go wrong with Goyo.

We just got married in August 2011. We were looking for a great wedding DJ. We got an AMAZING DJ. We had a feeling we found someone great when we first met with DJ Goyo at his studio space, which was jam-packed with vinyl -- nothing but vinyl. We knew he was serious when he was spinning $800 first-pressing Blue Note Jazz records, and all he said, in a matter-of-fact manner, was "hey, they were meant to be played." He listened to our requests and no plays list, and got EVERYONE on the dance floor. He was so professional and so competent. All our guests loved the music and loved the fact that he was spinning vinyl, and only vinyl, with the exception of one mash-up we had personally requested. We would recommend DJ Goyo in a heartbeat, and wish we could have another dance party just to have him work his magic.

Phenomenal would not adequately describe the talents of DJ Goyo. He just DJ'd our wedding along the sonoma coast and was perfect.

We wanted a cool dance-party vibe for our wedding and that is exactly what DJ Goyo provided. We didn't really have to tell him much. My (now) husband spoke with him back in December about the style of the wedding and the music that we generally like and that we wanted people to have a good time and really didn't have much contact since (we were very busy) and it went off beautifully. He had a good feel for the crowd. He played a mix of music that was all danceable and not at all cheesy. My parents danced! I've never seen them fast dance before. Ever!

Basically, he was just really chill. A cool dude to have as your DJ.

Hired DJ Goyo for our wedding reception two weeks ago and bottom line, would I hire him again? Yes, absolutely.

It was very unnerving choosing a DJ based on Yelp reviews, and I talked to several, both from the big companies and self-employed DJ's, but I really got a good feeling about this one and went with him. He was very responsive with emails, and everything was just so easy and smooth, he proved to be as reliable, kind, genuine and overall awesome as he appears. You can tell he really enjoys what he does and gets in on the excitement. The sound system was great and yes, the vinyl was really cool.

This was a same-sex wedding and he really catered to the audience, and everyone had a blast on the dance floor. We got so many comments from people on how much fun they had dancing - success!! We had some requests that were probably a bit unusual and he was very accommodating. He was a pleasure to work with.

Amazing Wedding DJ!

We hired DJ Goyo to play at our wedding and wow did we make the right choice. He had everyone, even my reluctant relatives, up on the dance floor busting a move. The music was expertly timed and made sure to hit a little something for everyone. My husband and I gave DJ Goyo some direction, but he really put a solid playlist together. He also help us brainstorm for the father/daughter and mother/son dance.

What can I say - the man is terrific. I have had the pleasure of working with Goyo two times. At the most recent event, he helped coordinate the live music, filled in all the gaps, and even did the lighting. He has a superb music collection and is very receptive to advance-music choices. Throughout our wedding day and night, he provided ambient music during the cocktail reception and seated dinner, microphones for speeches, and created a lively disco dance experience we will never forget. Why he's awesome:
1) Professional: communicative, on-time, no drama. Planning a wedding is stressful enough, you want to hire someone who knows how to run a business as well as provide the tunes. DJ Goyo (Greg) knows how to do this.

2) Knows how to mix both "background" music for cocktail hour as well as fun music for the dance floor. Lots of DJs are good at one or the other, but DJ Goyo is great at both.

3) Gets your guests dancing! Many weddings are a mix of people: grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends from various parts of your life. He knows how to play music that gets everybody dancing without being cheesy. Seriously. We had to *extend* our reception by an hour because nobody wanted to stop dancing! That is the highest compliment possible.

He's also very friendly. Lots of guests were fascinated to see that he was playing with real vinyl records and went up to have a chat with him. He would pull out other records and put on tunes by special request - everything from Dirty Dancing soundtrack to Brazilian beats. Awesome.

I hired DJ Goyo for our local non-profits's NYE party, but sadly we had to cancel the week of the event due to COVID. Although I never got the opportunity to see him in action, he sent me a lot of great samples of his work whenever he had an event.
For our event we wanted Arabic, English, and Lebanese Debke music, and dj goyo was more than accommodating with our requests.
When we cancelled he was understanding of the situation and offered me a full refund on my deposit. Very class of him and I highly recommend that you hire DJ Goyo for your future events.

DJ Goyo was a wedding highlight! He took the time to understand the vibe of our event and came prepared. Not only did he play music, but brought serval instruments and included the guests into the experience. All the kids were on the dance floor using the shakers he brought. They had the best time! Because we had a restaurant reception we did not have a formal dance floor. I didn't expect anyone to dance. I just wanted great music. Well Goyo made it happen!
